- What kind of photo should I submit?

Submit your best photo showing us your "Mad" Man or "Mad" Woman style.
(a) Photos must be in JPEG format, and no more than, 3MB in size.
(b) The Submission must be the submitting entrant's original, previously unpublished work and not contain any third party copyrighted material;
(c) The Submission may not have been entered in any other competition and may not have been previously published;
(d) The Submission must feature the entrant only and may not infringe upon any third party's rights, including but not limited to copyright, patent or trademarks/trade names/logos, or rights of privacy or publicity, or contain material that is or may be considered defamatory, slanderous or libelous, or portray in a false light; and
(e) The Submission may not violate any law, rule or regulation.
(f) There is a limit of one (1) photo per consumer entry - How do I submit/upload a photo?

After you have filled out the registration form click the browse button located next to the Upload Photo field.
Locate your photo on your computer;
Select the photo and click the Submit button to upload your photo entry.
The following restrictions apply:

- What if I have a photo that I want to submit but it's not digital?

Scan your photo and save it in JPEG format. The file size should be no more than 3MB. Beginning 5:00PM (ET) August 11, 2011 use the official online entry form to upload your photo.
- What's the timing on the contest?

You can begin submitting your photo AT 5:00PM (ET) on August 11, 2011. The submission date ends 5:00PM (ET) on August 25, 2011. Voting will continue until 5:00PM (ET) Friday September 9, 2011. Winners will be determined on or about September 30, 2011. Prize Redemption is currently anticipated to take place any time between October 2011 and January 2012, but is subject to change based on the Mad Men production schedule.
- What are the submission dates for the contest?

Contest entries are being accepted throughout the duration of the contest from August 11, 2011 at 5:00PM (ET) through August 25, 2011 at 5:00PM (ET). Submissions will be voted by site visitors throughout this period and end on September 9, 2011.
- How are entries rated and judged?

Visitors to the website will be invited to vote on their favorite male and female Submissions. Beginning on August 11, 2011 at 5:00 PM (ET) through September 16, 2011 at 5:00PM (ET) ("Public Judging Phase") all Submissions will be made available for viewing on the Website. Visitors to the website will be invited to vote on their favorite male and female Submissions. At the end of the Public Judging Phase, and assuming a sufficient number of eligible entries are received, the top 10 male and the top 10 female submissions as determined by popular votes will become semi-finalists. Entrants will be disqualified if automatic voting software is used in their favor.
- How do I vote for the photos?

You can vote on your favorite male and female submissions by clicking on the vote button under each photo. Visitors can vote a maximum of one time for any Submission in a 24-hour period. However, visitors are not limited to one vote, as they can vote for as many male and female Submissions as they choose in said 24-hour period, provided that no more than one vote is cast for any one Submission in that period.
- How are the finalists chosen?

At the end of the Public Judging Phase, and assuming a sufficient number of eligible entries are received, the top 10 male and the top 10 female submissions as determined by the entry's average ratings will become semi-finalists.
- Who chooses the runner up prizes?

AMC employees will conduct the Runners Up Winners selection. Two (2) Runners Up Winners will be chosen from the remaining nineteen (19) Semi-Finalists. All Semi-Finalists will be judged based on the following judging criteria: Does the photo reflect the "Mad Men" style - 60%; originality - 40%.
- Who chooses the grand prize winner and how?

Matthew Weiner, the Creator and Executive Producer of Mad Men will conduct the Grand Prize Winner selection from among the twenty (20) Semi-Finalist Submissions. All Semi-Finalists will be judged based on the following judging criteria: Does the photo reflect the "Mad Men" style - 60%; originality - 40%. Mr. Weiner's decisions are final and binding on all judging matters.
- When and where will the Grand Prize take place?

The Grand Prize consists of the opportunity for the Grand Prize winner to participate in a single episode walk on role in Season 5 of Mad Men. Prize includes round trip coach airplane tickets for the Grand Prize winner ONLY to Los Angeles, CA, 4 days/3 nights hotel accommodations (double occupancy), food and ground transportation allowance of $400. The Grand Prize winner will also receive a $1000.00 Banana Republic gift card. Please read our Rules for more details.
